The 10th

So, meet my daughter. My hyper, bubbly, ultra friendly Ms Nuryn Alysha. She turned 10 months on 24 Feb. Still very petite but extremely active. She probably burns off all the fats she's supposed to gain. Kiddo is 6.5kg ONLY!! Before you ask (just like how the polyclinic nurses ask me every month), she is eating porridge twice a day, baby snacks/biscuits/bread throughout the day, has breakfast without fail and drinks her milk very well. No my dears, I am not starving my child.

Since it was a Sunday and I didn't have to rush bath time, we played with bubbles while I read out lines from her book. That bubble toy gun is the best shopping idea. "Bubbles bubbles on my nose. Bubbles bubbles on my toes. Bubbles bubbles fly so high. Count 1-2-3 as they go by..." something like that lah.

Then, it was a quick meet with Afah to pass her son's present.

Went to Swensen's at Tampines Mall for brunch with the sisters and husband.

After a insanely heavy meal, we walked home. 3km walk in 30 minutes.

Stopped by the playground. Her first visit. Her first ride down the slide.

After a busy day, I had one of the best sleep in months. Nuryn slept from 9pm, woke up at 2am for milk and continued sleeping til 7am. Bliss.

Not exactly a writer, but having a writer's block

This explains my current situation perfectly. Must be sopan. Maybe I'll copy and paste a few from my NC-16 LJ and edit it so it'll be G.

I have school tonight. Last two modules and I'm done with my diploma. This would be my second private diploma, the first was in Multimedia Design. Some good it did me. But it was useful during my stint at HP. Pretty much did up a Sharepoint page for the account I was in, complete with the codings and design. Of course, I had valuable input while creating it. Although I had no prior experience in Sharepoint Designer and have not touched HTML in years, I think I did a pretty decent job. Kinda enjoyed it too. Anyway, I was young when I took the diploma and very sure I wanted to be in the design line. In no time I realised that people in that industry worked late nights and I am not ready for it. So here I am, taking a diploma in business administration before I decide what I would like to major in for the degree. I'm thinking HR. Definitely not accounting.

Yes, I'm a full-time working mother and a part-time student. It's crazy. But school started way before I got pregnant and the husband was on crazy shift hours that left me very free on some evenings. It's a little different now but this will only last until April and then I can finally start on my other life projects like sleeping. For now, it's two more school reports (due next week!) and two more exams. Ganbatte!

The Awkward Introduction

Hi!

This might possibly be my first time on blogger. Previously, I've been (and still am) on a hidden LiveJournal. The awesome stuff are in there. The best stuff are with Arafah. Let me just say this because you would see her name often - Nur Arafah is not my best friend. I have no freaking idea how that theory came about.

I don't quite know where to start. Let's just say, I woke up one morning realising I missed my period for way too long (11 days late, which was occasionally the norm) and decided to take a pee test in the evening.

So here I am, ten months into motherhood. Cliche, but it has been a roller-coaster ride. Oh, I didn't give birth. I was unwillingly sliced open. More about that later.

I just kinda died for you. You just kinda stared at me
-Aurora, Foo Fighters-

That was THE quit message I had while on mIRC in 2000-2003. Love the song. Love the band. Found new meaning in that line recently. Kinda how I felt when my daughter was scooped out of me. Of course, she didn't really stare at me. She was screaming, hence, mylilscreamer. Also, for the first three months of her life, she didn't cry, she screamed. Now it's just bubbly laughs and funny bird-like/cat-like sounds.

Oh, I'm Nora. Nice to meet you.
